Meron Lewis
Ms Lewis is a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland. Her research topic is the development and evaluation of a data collection method in relation to the price and affordability of recommended (healthy) and habitual (unhealthy) diets in low socioeconomic groups in Australia.
Meron assisted with the development and testing of the nationally standardised Healthy Diets ASAP (Australian Standardised Affordability and Pricing) methods protocol, and played a key role in the tailoring of the protocol for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups. She has also provided research support for two Medical Research Future Fund projects, and a rapid evidence review for the Commonwealth Dept of Health.
Prior to undertaking her degree in Nutrition & Dietetics at QUT, Meron worked in the field of Intellectual Property and has also worked with older Australians through Meals on Wheels.
