Saba is a third year PhD candidate from the School of Medical Science at Griffith University. His research focuses on the role of gut metabolite trimethylamine-N-oxide and it's involvement in the development and progression of cardiovascular disease. In particular, this focus is done in the context of co-morbidities such as diabetes and metabolic syndrome. His supervisors are Professor John Headrick and A/Prof Eugene Du Toit.
