Maureen Makama

Maureen Makama is currently a PhD student at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. Her research focuses on lifestyle management in postpartum women. Her research aims to co-design an evidence-based, theory-driven lifestyle intervention to limit weight retention in postpartum women. She has a Bachelor of Pharmacy and an MSc. Nutrition and Health (specialization: Epidemiology and Public Health). She has experience in epidemiological studies, data management and capacity building of healthcare providers. Her interests include health promotion, women's health, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and cancer.
